A Modern Moody Romance

Married on the most perfect North Queensland Winter’s Day, Amy and Dave, surrounded by their closest family, friends and their fur-baby Pumba. Married at the stunning Sacred Heart Cathedral in Townsville, Queensland.

To give you a quick run down on this adorable couple; Amy and Dave met on their first day of intern orientation at the Townsville Hospital. Although Amy spent the first 12 weeks of the year away on rural placement, they still spoke daily and finally had their first date the weekend Amy returned to town.

Five years on, and on one of the most magical days of the year, Christmas Eve, Dave asked Amy to marry him on top of a mountain in the Canadian Rockies. (Talk about a romantic!!)

Then so it began, the planning of this elegant, moody, modern wedding.

Amy and Dave were going for more of a refined look by using colours such as deep burgundy’s, navy and splashes of gold.

They asked us to incorporate the gold into their wedding signage and that we did!

We welcomed their guests with an ultra classy acrylic wedding welcome sign using gold foil for their text. We teamed this up with their acrylic wedding seating plan which fit so perfectly into the theme set by Dreamscene Events at The Ville Resort, Casino.

We also created them some timeless acrylic table numbers to sit on their dressed tables and fit within their theme. Their acrylic table numbers were not over powering to the decor and were “just enough”.

We absolutely loved working alongside Amy and Dave and wish them, and their little Pumba baby all the love and happiness in the world.
