T E S S A & D A N I E L | A Whimsical Garden Fairytale

Tessa & Dan were destined from a far to be together. He was a boy from London, she was a girl from Australia and it was the unknown WIFI password that set this love story off!

Whilst on a working holiday in the UK, Tessa needed access to the WIFI password. What she can only say is that it was fate that led her to Dans flat where she knocked on his bedroom door asking for the WIFI password. From that night on they became inseparable despite the 16,000kms difference from where they called home. Dan had followed Tessa back to Australia and that’s really where it all began.

They moved into their own little place with the addition of their fur baby and started the Visa process for Dan to be able to call Australia home.

On their fourth anniversary Dan got down on one knee and asked Tessa to be his wife. The easiest decision Tessa has ever had to make she tells us.

Tessa and Dan were so excited for their Wedding Day. The mood boards, dress shipping and booking in their dream team of vendors had begun straight away. They had booked their date and their location at the stunning venue of Summergrove Estate in Northern NSW.

Tessa would say to Dan “I don’t know why people find wedding planning so stressful” as they very quickly confirmed their dream team of wedding vendors and everything had fallen perfectly into place. But Tessa had spoken a little too soon, along came Covid!!!

With so much uncertainty and Dan’s family being in the UK they had to hesitantly make the decision to postpone their wedding until the following year, in hope that by then things had started to calm down. Round two of invitations, vendors re booked in and all the excitement of a final date when it all turned again, Lockdown #2! Tessa and Daniel were heartbroken and had postponed for another year.

Fast forward to March 2022 and their special day had finally arrived. Along with torrential rain, flood warnings and some last minute Covid cancellations, but nothing was going to stop their day from going ahead.

Tessa and Dan wanted a romantic, warm and whimsical vibe for the wedding day. They wanted it to feel like they just stepped into their very own secret garden fairytale. They were in love with blush tones, warm candle lights, fairy lights and bundles of fresh beautiful flowers created by Ivy & Bleu.

They wanted to pay real attention to the smaller details, to add personal touches and really make the day a reflection of them as a couple. We were able to reflect this through their custom wedding signage package which included their wedding welcome sign, wedding seating plan right through to their acrylic lettering, wedding menus and more.
